I wrote a piece here called “How a Person with Bipolar Disorder Thinks.” It has been one of the most popular articles here with almost one million people (really) having read it. But, of course, a short article on thinking in bipolar disorder is just the tip of the iceberg. I didn’t even touch on the errors in thinking, called cognitive distortions, that are common in bipolar disorder. That’s why I developed a webinar on just such a topic. This new webinar is called: Get Real 4: How People with BIpolar Think — Cognitive Distortions.

New Webinar About Errors in Thought in Bipolar Disorder

My Get Real series of webinars is designed to cover many topics such as bipolar disorder 101 information, rapid cycling bipolar disorder, bipolar depression and, now, bipolar thinking. The idea with the series is to speak in real language about the reality of living with mental illness. I don’t want to sugarcoat or speak in platitudes, I want to get real about life with bipolar disorder. While this is a series of webinars, you don’t need to take them all or take them in order. They are designed to be taken one at a time. Also if you’ve missed one, don’t worry, they will be offered again (sign up below to be notified as soon as new webinars are scheduled).

In this case, I want to talk about cognitive distortions in bipolar disorder. These are the errors in thinking we are prone to making because of the mental illness. If you want to know more about how people with bipolar think, how this drives behaviors, and how to defeat cognitive distortions, then this is the webinar for you.
